The Indiana FFA Association will celebrate National FFA Week from Feb. 20 to Feb. 27.
More than 760,000 members will participate in National FFA Week activities at local, state and national levels. These members have a passion for agriculture.
National FFA Week runs from Saturday to Saturday and gives FFA members an opportunity to educate the public about agriculture. During the week, chapters across the state conduct a variety of activities to help others in their school and community learn about FFA and agricultural education.
Kylie Schakel, Indiana FFA State Secretary, is a Hamilton Heights graduate and will have the opportunity to travel the state advocating for agriculture on behalf of the Indiana FFA Association. This year Indiana FFA's state theme is: Embrace.
Kylie hopes to embrace the changes this past year has brought. Additionally, she hopes to educate communities within Indiana on the importance of agriculture education during National FFA Week.
The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to 760,113 student members who belong to one of 8,739 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
