CARMEL – Hamilton County Community Foundation announced 14 Sheridan High School students will receive scholarships totaling $58,000 from three scholarship funds held at the foundation for the 2019-20 school year. Those include the William A. Cline and Joyce H. Cline Educational Trust Scholarship, the Hamilton County Community Foundation Scholarship Fund, and the Sheridan Community School Scholarship Foundation Fund.
Congratulations to the scholarship recipients at Sheridan High School: Walker Casler, Lucas Chesney, Abigail Davis, Dennis Delph, Josie Dickerson, Caleb Duke, Jesse Kolb, Hannah Lugenbeal, Kristin McPeake, Katherine Parsley, Jacob Vita, Whitney Wilson, Madelyn Zola and Piper Zola.
All three scholarship funds are a part of Hamilton County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). The Sheridan Community School Scholarship Foundation formed in 1989 as a collective effort from several local donors to help more Sheridan High School seniors pursue post-secondary education. In 2015, the private foundation opted to convert its assets into a scholarship fund at Hamilton County Community Foundation. As a result, the committee acquired access to personalized investment expertise and scholarship fund management, while maintaining and honoring the original donors’ intentions.
Hamilton County Community Foundation and its affiliates at CICF award more than $2.4 million in scholarships annually. All scholarship opportunities for the 2020-2021 academic year – including the William A. Cline and Joyce H. Cline Educational Trust Scholarship, the Hamilton County Community Foundation Scholarship, and the Sheridan Community School Scholarship - can be viewed at cicf.org/scholarships in the fall.
