If you are driving into Sheridan on State Road 38 from the east, you might notice a new sign welcoming you to town.
Three years ago, multiple businesses, organizations and private individuals joined with local and county government to rebuild the welcome sign there. The effort to replace the sign was led by Gloria Del Greco, a Purdue Extension Specialist from the Noblesville office. The sign had fallen into disrepair and collapsed.
The original plan was to replace that sign and add a second sign on the west edge of town on State Road 47. However, the pandemic derailed those efforts.
But things are back on track and both signs should be completed soon.
