Diana Marie McCullough-Biddle, 78, Sheridan, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 9, 2019 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville.

Born July 2, 1941 in Sheridan, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Myron H. and Lulu Madge (Pickett) McCullough.

She was a 1959 graduate of Sheridan High School and held a Master's Degree in Speech and Hearing from Purdue University. For many years she was a teacher in the Lee County (Florida) School System and a member of the Lee County Teachers Association.

On April 16, 1961 in Ojai, Calif. she married Larry Lee Biddle. Mr. Biddle passed away on Feb. 10, 2019.

When she wasn't in the classroom, Mrs. Biddle loved spending time with her grandchildren. She shared her love of animals with them and never missed a chance to take them to the zoo or do some bird watching (or watching whatever critters happened to be around). She was also a collector of animal potholders. Those potholders came in handy when it was time to do a little baking. Cookies were her confection of choice, and since she was in charge of the oven, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin were always on the menu. Another favorite activity was swimming. She loved to be in the water - it really didn't matter what the reason. As her health began to fail, Mrs. Biddle needed to start going to water therapy. This was a welcomed activity in her daily routine; for her, it was just a trip to the pool. In her later years she loved watching TV shows and movies on her VCR.

Survivors include her son, Brent Lee (Diana L. McDonald-Biddle) Biddle of Bean Blossom; daughter-in-law, Julie Biddle-Pankau of Enterprise, Ala.; six grandchildren, Jackson Biddle, Zoe Biddle, Abigail Whitaker, Katie Biddle, Hanna Springer and Sarah Biddle; three great-grandchildren, Merida E. Whitaker, Lee D. Whitaker and Ryan Z. Springer; a brother, Dale H. McCullough of Westfield; and her sister-in-law, Marcia McCullough of Sheridan.

Other than her busband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Myron Zane Biddle; brother, Neil Meredith McCullough;and by her sister-in-law, Loretta McCullough.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St. in Sheridan. Family and friends may pay their respects from noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Crown View Cemetery in Sheridan. Her son Brent Lee Biddle will be officiating.
