John Jones, 74, Sheridan, passed away on April 8, 2021.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1946 to the late Edward and Agnes Jones in Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Jones wanted to serve his country and did so honorably in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of sergeant. He pursued a career in law enforcement, was hired by Zionsville Police Department and proudly served the Zionsville community for 45 years before retiring.

Mr. Jones loved horses and would share his love for horses every chance he got. He would volunteer his time and take horses to the Gibolt Children Home, where the children could learn about horses and where he could give the children rides.
