Lavern M. Parks

Lavern M. Parks of Noblesville passed away on Feb. 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 27, 1934 to the late Melvin and May LaFern (Glassburn) Parks in Goshen, Ind.
He graduated from Goshen High School in the Class of 1952. After high school he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Navy and did so honorably.
Mr. Parks married the love of his life, Joyce (Canen) Parks, on Nov. 26, 1955 in Goshen.
Mr. Parks was a truck driver, the last 20 years he drove for Tucker Freight in South Bend. When he finally decided to retire from trucking, he was able to put more time into wood working. Mr. Parks was a skilled wood worker. He made and repaired furniture.
He looked forward to going to Whitehouse Donut Shop every morning to visit with his friends. Mr. and Mrs. Parks loved traveling and visited several states together. The two of them enjoyed going to Florida.
Survivors other than his wife Joyce of 65 years include their four children, Lori (Daryl) Campbell, Randy Parks, Craig (Kathy) Parks and Brad Parks; grandchildren Joshua, Matthew, Jennifer, Brendan, Ariel, Skylar and Dakota; and great-grandchildren Cleo, Troy and Maive.
He was preceded in death by his son Brian.
