Miriam Childers Johnson 79, Sheridan, was called home on Jan. 15, 2021.
She was born on Feb. 1, 1941 in Darbyville, Ohio. Her parents were Sim Clarence and Mary Louella (Cloud) Childers.
She was a graduate of Sheridan High School, Class of 1959. She married her high school sweetheart Ronald Lee on Feb. 18, 1961, and the two of them have spent 60 years at each other’s side. He survives.
Mrs. Johnson had an entrepreneurial spirit, and started her own cleaning business. She cleaned houses for more than 30 years. She looked forward to her lunches with the Red Hat Society, she also enjoyed gardening and was proud of her garden. Mrs. Johnson was a woman of faith. She was a member of Sheridan Six Points Wesleyan Church where she volunteered a lot of her time. She especially enjoyed volunteering for anything food related. She liked working in the kitchen at the church. The one thing Mr. and Mrs. Johnson did was instill their faith into their children who will greatly miss her.
Survivors include her loving children, Mary Kathleen (Michael) Elliott of Westfield, Daniel Lee (Marylou) Johnson of Florida and Michael Allen (Laura) Johnson of Sheridan; grandchildren Michelle (Matt) Martinkovic, Amy (Jared) Talbott, David Johnson and Ashley Elliott; great-grandchildren Natalie, Mason, Jack and Luke; siblings Janie (Paul) Hart of Ohio, Mary Louise Bigham of Ohio, Catherine (John) Little of Ohio, Thelma Baddley of Ohio and Betty Rowland of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers Kenneth and Lloyd Willie Williams.
Her services will be private.
