Richard Allan Purdy, 82, Sheridan, passed away Friday morning, April 24, 2020 at Autumn Trace of Rensselaer, Ind.

He was born Feb. 21, 1938 in Boone County to the late Harold "Doc" Purdy and Ruby (Perigo) Purdy.

A 1956 graduate of Sheridan High School, Mr. Purdy served his country as a Military Police Officer, stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.

On Aug. 22, 1959, he married the love of his life, Carol Ann (Bess). She passed away on June 20, 2014.
